When Craig Mintz won his heat race, crew member Evan Helle paid off on a bet by shaving his head. Mintz became the 3rd 410 rookie to win a heat race at Fremont this season, with Scott Kraylek & Brock Mayes being the others. If Mintz is fortunate enough to win a feature, he and his dad have bothed vowed to shave their heads as well.



All Star Bruce Robenalt of Tiffin was on his way to K-C before learning at Delaware that the event had been rained out. Bruce was one of a number of All Stars who swung north to Fremont after the rainout.



Jeff "The Jet" Shepard in the Miller Rigging entry. Shepard is one of the most exciting and entertaining drivers to watch anytime he hits the track.
