Brother Cesaire Dies In Accident
Former Tiffin Youth Killed Saturday


Brother Cesaire, 25, member of the Catholic religious order of the Holy Cross at Notre Dame, Ind., son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Hartzell of this city, was killed in an automobile accident at Lawton, PA, Saturday afternoon.

No details of the accident were recieved here and it is not known whether others may have been killed or injured in the crash.

Brother Cesaire was being transferred to a new station in Washington, D. C., and is believed to have been on his way to that city when he was fatally injured.

Born in Tiffin Feb. 2, 1915, he lived here untill he was 16 years of age. His name before he entered the religious order was Paul Hartzell. He was trained as a chef, and for the past seven years he had served the Order in that capacity.

The deceased is survived by his parents and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. Eugene Elchert, Ellen, Regina, and Eugene Hartzell, all of Tiffin; Victor and Robert of Defiance; and Harry of Crestline.

Funeral services are to be held at 8 a. m. Tuesday in Notre Dame, Ind., and will be followed by burial there.
