T. H. Hartzell Rites Saturday
Aged Tiffin Shoemaker Died Wednesday

Thomas H. Hartzell, 80, of 471 West Perry St., died Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 5, 1955, in Mercy Hospital after a four year illness. He had suffered a stroke earlier in the week.

Mr. Hartzell, a shoemaker by trade and a resident of the Tiffin area for 43 years, was born April 23, 1875, in Napoleon. His parents were the late Harrison and Ellen Clark Hartzell.

He married on May 21, 1907, in Delphos to Rosalie Reiniche, who survives. Other survivors include four sons, Victor of Defiance, Harry of Bucyrus, Eugene of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Robert of Tiffin; and three daughters, Mrs. Eugene Elchert and Mrs. Paul Elchert, both of Tiffin, and Mrs. Walter Beat of Attica, and 36 grandchildren.

A son, Brother Cesaire of the Order of Holy Cross, was killed in an accident near Lawton, Mich, in 1940.

Mr. Hartzell was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and of the Holy Name Society.

Services will be held in St. Mary's Church at 9 a. m. Saturday, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
